Intervention de land art implantée au cœur du vignoble des champagnes Ruinart, où le parti pris tient dans la mise en tension de deux objets dans le paysage : un petit bâtiment d'accueil qui articule un pignon en pierre de taille calcaire à une nef contemporaine en ossature bois et façade vitrée à claires-voies, et une série de sculptures en rondins assemblés à la main formant des plateformes à nids géantes, disposées selon la trame des rangs de vigne. Le bâtiment dialogue sobrement avec la typologie du chai, sans la reproduire, tandis que les sculptures en bois brut, habitées par les oiseaux locaux, inscrivent le domaine dans une démarche de cohabitation avec le vivant qui relève autant de l'architecture de paysage que de l'art in situ.
A land-art intervention set at the heart of the Ruinart champagne vineyards, where the design lies in the tension between two objects in the landscape: a small reception building that joins an ashlar-limestone gable to a contemporary nave in timber frame with an open-slatted glazed façade, and a series of hand-assembled log sculptures forming giant nest-platforms, arranged along the grid of the vine rows. The building converses soberly with the typology of the winery cellar without reproducing it, while the raw-timber sculptures, inhabited by local birds, place the estate within an approach of cohabitation with the living world that belongs as much to landscape architecture as to in-situ art.
