Requalification de l'espace public thermal d'Évian-les-Bains, autour de la Source Cachat et de ses pavillons Belle Époque en charpente bois sculptée, dont le parti pris restitue la lisibilité et la cohérence de l'ensemble patrimonial en dégageant le parvis de tout mobilier et en unifiant le sol par un pavage minéral sobre à ton clair. Le dispositif central, un miroir d'eau affleurant en creux de forme elliptique cerclé de pierre, reflète la grande halle vitrée et crée un point focal calme qui dialogue avec la tour horloge et les magnolias plantés en pieds isolés dans des seuils affleurants. La mise en lumière nocturne, conçue pour révéler les menuiseries et la ferronnerie des pavillons sans polluer la lecture du ciel, restitue à l'ensemble son caractère de lieu de promenade thermale à toute heure.

A redevelopment of the thermal public space of Évian-les-Bains, around the Cachat Spring and its Belle Époque pavilions with carved timber frames. The design restores the legibility and coherence of the heritage ensemble by clearing the forecourt of all furniture and unifying the ground with a sober, pale mineral paving. The central feature, a flush elliptical reflecting pool sunk into the ground and ringed with stone, mirrors the great glazed hall and creates a calm focal point that converses with the clock tower and the magnolias planted singly in flush thresholds. The night-time lighting, designed to reveal the joinery and ironwork of the pavilions without polluting the reading of the sky, gives the whole its character as a place for a thermal promenade at any hour.
